Woolrich is a legendary American outdoor and lifestyle brand founded in 1830 in Woolrich, Pennsylvania, making it one of the oldest continuously operating apparel companies in the United States and a true custodian of American heritage craftsmanship rooted in nearly two centuries of wool milling and garment-making tradition. The brand is universally celebrated for its iconic Arctic Parka — originally developed in the 1970s for workers on the Alaskan oil pipeline — which has since become one of the most recognizable and coveted outerwear silhouettes in the world, adopted by fashion capitals from New York to Milan as the definitive symbol of rugged American luxury. Today, Woolrich seamlessly bridges its rich outdoor heritage with contemporary luxury fashion sensibilities, offering premium outerwear, knitwear, and lifestyle collections that honor the brand's founding commitment to exceptional quality, warmth, and durability while speaking directly to the modern consumer's desire for authentic, heritage-driven luxury.
